| I want to thank everyone who helped make the December Blood Drive successful. We had 45 sign-ins and collected 42 pints. The Red Cross was very pleased with the results. There was a very good representation of the Knights of Columbus and also good participation  of all three parishes. I've been told that one pint could save as many as three people depending how the blood is used. That means it is possible that they could save as many as 126 people with what we collected yesterday. Thanksgiving A Success

Jason Simas is the soldier stationed in Iraq that Assembly  175 sent supplies to a few months ago, and he is planning to enter the seminary. He sent a couple of letters and a CD with pictures and video from Iraq.
Pecan Update

I was very pleased with the amount of help that turned out to help during our Thanksgiving Dinner. On Thankgiving day we had a ample supply of Knights and parishioners from all parishes. We were able to deliver 375 meals to those in need. I would guess that we fed another 50 to 75 homeless people at the Church. We also fed numerous people who just needed to have a place to celebrate 
We have about 22 cases of pecans left to sell. That means we have sold around 38 so far. Most of the pecans we have left are the plain halves, so that is what we really need to push. I thought we would take this weekend off and then try selling the next 2. We need our members to sell to their friends and coworkers as most of the people from our churches have already made their purchases.
